I follow your lead and work with your established editorial process, scope of service(s), workflows, platforms, timelines, and budget. Though based in Canada, I  work seamlessly with clients worldwide. Please contact me to request my resume and complete project list. 

For independent authors:

I bring the same precision and accountability to independent author projects as I do to publisher-assigned projects. Whether you are preparing for traditional publication, self-publishing, or require additional support at the request of an in-house editorial team, here's what you can expect: 

• A conversation about your needs and goals.
• A quick review of your manuscript so that I know what I'll be working with, along with a representative sample of my work so you can get a feel for my style and approach.
• A tailored quote, timeline, and set of deliverables.
• A contract outlining the scope of work.
• A deposit to secure your spot in my schedule. 
• Transparent communication throughout the process, including check-ins and updates if desired.

If you’re an independent author or commissioning work outside of a publishing house, press, or publishing solutions company, here’s how my rates are structured: 

• Editing services: per-word pricing 
• Proofreading: per-page (PDF) pricing
• Indexing: per-page pricing
• Audiobook manuscript prep: per-word pricing
• Research: per-hour pricing
• Flat project fees are available and make sense if you're combining services. Final quotes  are always tailored to the scope and complexity of your project. I'm happy to discuss options that suit your timeline, budget, and publishing goals. Please note: Fifty percent of the project rate is required to hold a spot in my calendar.
